Relationships take work. It isn’t true love if things go smoothly.

S.R. Crawford
About This Quote

Imagine if your relationship is so perfect that you don’t have to worry about anything. The two of you are happy, your families are happy, and all of your friends are happy. You don’t have to worry about anything because you are already happy. Now imagine that one day, suddenly everything becomes different.

Your partner suddenly treats you differently. One day, suddenly, they are no longer the person that you fell in love with. They suddenly become unhappy.

They suddenly stop loving you or they start treating you differently. You suddenly realize that things aren’t the same anymore. Now it is true for relationships to take work but not when everything is fine.

Work comes in when things start to get uncomfortable. Work also comes when things get worse instead of getting better. Work doesn’t come when things are perfect or easy to handle because then there would be no need to work on things at all because it would be too easy for something to go wrong and then again, when things get better there would be no room to work on them at all, so it is best when things don’t go perfectly smoothly but just the opposite when problems come in and stay around for a while so that people can find time to work on them without loosing their relationship in the process.
